A Centrally Located Site

Junction58 sits on Melnea Cass Boulevard, which is part of Boston’s 2015 master planning update. This proposal includes nearly $3 billion worth of planned development occurring near the northern end of Melnea Cass by numerous institutions and developers. The first steps of this plan have already been executed with anchor buildings developed at both ends by Northeastern University and Boston Medical Center.


The intended design efforts of the plan work to retain the urban qualities of the site by providing thorough street improvements.

A Transforming Neighborhood

Bookended by two of Boston’s most prestigious institutions, Boston Medical Center and Northeastern University, Melnea Cass Boulevard on which Junction58 resides is a critical connector – dubbed “Crosstown Corridor” – in one of the City’s master planning efforts. It will receive several improvements in the form of expanded bike lanes, new green spaces and pedestrian corridors, and will enjoy substantially expanded area retail.

Junction58's central, urban location, serves as a viable "hub" to the several Boston neighborhood "spokes" surrounding it. Beyond its directly adjacent South End and Back Bay neighbors, Junction58 strategically sits between three of the urban core’s most buzzworthy areas:


Longwood, Kendall Square (Cambridge), and the Seaport – each bolstered by incredibly strong institutional, medical, pharmaceutical, biotech, and tech clusters.
